That which we call a rose by other name would it smell as sweet.Guduchi is one of the most valued herb in the ayurvedic texts & is considered as an effective treatment for a wide range of aliments .
Many studies support guduchi's role as an adaptagen, a potent herb that increases the body's resistance to stress, anxiety, illness and many more diseases, So we call it a Immunity booster. And to some extent it can provide disease free life and can be considered a boon to the human society.

(A) What is GUDUCHI ?
Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia) is a herbaceous vine that belongs to Menispermeacea family. Guduchi is a climbing shrub with weak stem and heart-shaped leaves. Mainly found in tropical areas like India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka etc.
Whole plant is used to treat different disease. As it's leaf decoction is used in gout , it's root is used as an emetic and its stem mostly used in many diseases.

(D) Intake procedure
Guduchi is used in different preparatory forms like:-
Swarasa(juice)
Kwath (decoction)
Churna(powder)
Swarasa (Juice ):-
1)Take few branches of the plant and wash them with water properly.
2) Scrape off the outer skin of the branches until the fresher and green part come at the surface.
3) Chop the branches into small pieces.
4) Take chopped pieces of guduchi stem and 1 cup of water into a blender.
5)Blend until whole solution become uniform green.
6) Seive out the solution into a glass carefully.
7) Guduchi swarasa is ready.
Dose : 10-20 ml
Indications : enhances memory, fever, diabetes (with honey), Anaemia, leprosy
Kwath(Decoction):-
1) Take some branches and wash them with water properly.
2) Chop the branches into smaller pieces.
3) Take them into a imam dusta( mortar pestle) and crushed them.
4) Take crushed branches with approx 400 ml of water in a pan.
5) Boil it on a low flame.
6) Reduce to 1/2 or 1/4th of total initial amount.
7) Let it cool.
8) Seive out into a glass.
9) Decoction is ready.
Dose :- 50-100 ml
Indications :- Fever, dengue,stress, Anxiety, Boost Immunity, cold.
In case if you don't have fresh branches than you can use its powder to make the preparation ( swarasa , kwath ) and only powder can only be used in different diseases.
E) Side-effects :-
1) Constipation
2) Lowering the blood pressure
3) Anorexia
F) Contraindication of Guduchi have not be determined but sometimes in Auto-immune disorder it is contraindicated because guduchi increase the immunity and activate the immune system but in Auto-immune disorder more active the immune system will cause more problem to the patient.In pregnant and breast feeding women it is also contraindicated.
G) Formulation :-
Guduchiyadikwath, sansamanvati, Amritarista, Guduchiyadiswarasa.
